Held in conjunction with World Environment Day on the 5th of June 2026, the webinar “Furniture in Motion: Servitization and Circular Business Models for a Sustainable Future” took place online as initiative of the FurnSERVICE project in cooperation with ACCIÓ - the Government of Catalonia's business growth agency.
The event -with more than 80 attendees- explored the role of servitization and circular business models as strategic drivers to support the sustainable transition of the furniture sector.
Following the introduction to the project by Chiara Terraneo, FLA – FederlegnoArredo, the webinar featured a keynote speech by Prof. Mauro Ceconello, Politecnico di Milano, focused on current and emerging circular business models in European industries (click here to download the full report).
The session then continued with the presentation of project experiences and case studies with the moderation of Julio Rodrigo from AMBIT, including contributions from Eleonora Montin from the Italian company LAGO, and the partners involved in the project HABIT UP SPACES, with Néstor Catalán – PLASTICPeople, Xavier Rius - CitySens Lab and Sara Adell - Aleteo Insight.
The discussion highlighted practical approaches, tools and opportunities to support companies in adopting more sustainable, service-oriented and circular business models. The webinar concluded with a Q&A session and final remarks.
