FurnSERVICE has released a new report based on its recent survey assessing the knowledge, adoption and readiness of EU furniture companies to implement circular business models and practices. The survey collected data from 46 companies across 7 European countries, providing an updated picture of how firms understand and approach circularity.
The FurnSERVICE consortium recently participated in ECOMONDO, the leading international event dedicated to ecological transition and the circular economy. Now in its 28th edition, ECOMONDO continues to set the benchmark for sustainability, offering a dynamic platform for companies, start-ups, researchers, innovators, and policy makers.
As part of its mission to foster sustainability in the furniture sector, FurnSERVICE will focus on helping EU furniture manufacturers improve their environmental performance by going beyond product footprints. Through product servitisation and innovative circular strategies, the project seeks to align the industry with the principles of the circular economy at a higher level.
FurnSERVICE has launched a report that explores how Circular Business Models (CBMs) are emerging across European manufacturing industries, with a particular focus on servitization, meaning the shift from selling products to offering integrated product-service systems.
